Insurance
Illness and injury is infrequent but unavoidable – insurance is essential.
If you have to be treated on the mountain or in resort or assisted from it you will be charged unless you have cover provided by certain insurers (proof of treatment and payment will always be give to enable a claim to be made to all other insurers).
Insurance can be purchased with you lift pass which will simplify any intervention:

Annual : Individual or Family (4 persons or more) Carte Neige Insurance is available at the Méribel Ski Club. It covers : rescueing costs, ambulance transportation (including possible helicopter evacuation), ski-pass and medical cost refund, civil liability, legal assistance to the skier.
